Duplicate a named route

AntsRoute enables you to duplicate a named route. This function is particularly useful for users who carry out regular routes that are not necessarily assigned to the same drivers. You can duplicate a route on another date or on certain days of the week over a given period. To do this, follow the steps below:

• How does the duplication of a named route work?
• Duplicate one not started named route
• Duplicate one ongoing named route
• Duplicate one completed named route

💡 This function is only available if the “Define route names” display option is activated. Warning: If the “Define route names” option is activated, routes are necessarily duplicated by route name and not by driver.

💡 The route cannot be duplicated on today's date if a route has already started.

How does the duplication of a named route work?

To give you a better idea of how this function works, let's look at an example. You have two drivers: Driver 1 and Driver 2. The recurring routes, Route A and Route B, are not necessarily carried out by the same drivers.

If you duplicate the Route B of 20/03 on 21/03 and 22/03, you get:

On 21/03, Route B (for Driver 1) will be updated. On 22/03, as Route B does not exist, AntsRoute takes by default the driver assigned to the route you are duplicating. Route B will therefore be assigned to Driver 2.

Duplicate one not started named route

1. Go to the “Organise” module.
2. Click on the “Routes” tab.
3. Select a date in the calendar.
4. From the table, click on “...” and “Duplicate the route”.

   

5. Select a period and the days of application.
6. Click on the “Duplicate” button.

   

💡 If you only want to duplicate the route on a given date, you must click on “Duplicate route”, open the date selector and click twice on the same date.

Duplicate one ongoing named route

1. Go to the “Monitor” module.
2. Click on the “Map” tab.
3. From the panel on the right, click on “...” and “Duplicate the route”.

   

4. Select a period and the days of application.
5. Click on the “Duplicate” button.

   

💡 If you only want to duplicate the route on a given date, you must click on “Duplicate route”, open the date selector and click twice on the same date.

Duplicate one completed named route

1. Go to the “Analyse” module.
2. Click on the “Route report” tab.
3. Select a date in the calendar.
4. From the table, click on “...” and “Duplicate the route”.

   

5. Select a period and the days of application.
6. Click on the “Duplicate” button.

   

💡 If you only want to duplicate the route on a given date, you must click on “Duplicate route”, open the date selector and click twice on the same date.

☝️ Good to know: You can duplicate several routes at once. From the “Routes” tab with a daily view or from “Route report”, you need to check the boxes corresponding to the routes you want to duplicate and click on the green “Duplicate” button.
