If you use the basket of work orders, you have two options for prioritising the planning of tasks, i.e. ensuring that our algorithm gives priority to the planning of certain work orders over others:
Mode 1: Prioritising the planning of work orders from the basket by due date
The default operating mode is to schedule work orders from the basket according to the due date, i.e. the date until which the task can be planned. To use this method, you simply need to check in the settings that this is the selected mode. To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Settings” tab.
- Click on “Optimization settings”.
- For “Prioritization criteria for deliveries”, select the “Due date” option.
- Click on the “Save” button.
Mode 2: Prioritising the planning of work orders from the basket according to the types of service
If you want to prioritise the planning of work orders from the basket according to the type of service, here are the steps to follow:
💡 This function is designed for people who use types of service.
1. Select the “Service type” option
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Settings” tab.
- Click on “Optimization settings”.
- For “Prioritization criteria for deliveries”, select the “Service type” option.
- Click on the “Save” button.
2. Add service types with “High” priority
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Types of service” tab.
- Click on the “+” button in the top right-hand corner.
- Enter a “Name”, for example, “Priority task”.
- Enter a “Duration” in minutes.
- For “Priority”, select the “High” option.
- Fill in the other fields if necessary.
- Click on the “Save” button.
If you add a work order to the basket, for the “Service type” field, you simply need to select the type of service with the “High” priority that you have just created.
💡 If all the work orders can be scheduled, the priority is not taken into account by our algorithms.
☝️ Good to know: The prioritisation of work orders also operates if you use the import of work orders.
