Field workers, also known as deliverymen, technicians or drivers, are the professionals who carry out services at your clients' locations. Properly configuring their profiles is essential for optimizing your route management.
Customizable Information for Each Field Worker
For each worker, you can define or modify the following elements:
- Working hours
- Daily break duration
- Starting and ending location
- Absences
- Skills (if the option is enabled)
- Hourly cost (€/h) (if the option is enabled)
Add a Field Worker
⚠️ Before adding a field worker, make sure a vehicle is available. If not, create one first by following this support article.
To add your first field worker, follow the steps below:
Steps:
- Go to the “Resources” module.
- Click on the “Drivers” tab.
- Click the “+” button at the top right.
- Fill in the general information:
- Email address (can be fictitious but is required)
- Password (required, used for the mobile app)
- First and last name
- Phone number (shown in client notifications)
- Hourly cost (if enabled)
- Assigned vehicle (mandatory)
- Additional role (if applicable)
- Holiday calendar (if enabled)
- Map color (mandatory)
- Optionally, define:
- A distance radius around the departure point
- A geographical working area
- Select the worker’s skills (if enabled).
- Click “Next step”.
- Set the working time slots for each day by clicking the “+” button.
- Edit the starting and/or ending location by clicking the warehouse icon:
- Add a specific address
- Or choose the option for no start/end location (route starts/ends at the client’s site)
- Add breaks by clicking the cup icon:
- Specify the duration in minutes
- Set a time range during which the break can start
- Enter additional skills beyond the default ones (if enabled).
- Click “Save.”
💡 Good to know:
- If cost calculation is enabled, you can define the field worker’s hourly cost (€ / h) at this stage.
- The email and password allow the field worker to log into the mobile app. The email can be fictitious.
- Skills help assign jobs based on each field worker's specific skills.
- The geographical working area applies in the same way every day of the week. If you want to assign your field worker to different zones depending on the day, we recommend using the sectorisation function. For more information, please refer to this support article.
Edit a Field Worker
To edit an existing field worker:
- Go to the “Resources” module.
- Click on the “Drivers” tab.
- Click on the “…” to the right of the relevant field worker, then click “Edit.”
🔐 If a field worker has forgotten their password, click “…” > “Reset password” to reset it.
