Do some of your jobs (or deliveries) need to be carried out on a regular basis — for example, daily, weekly, or monthly? With the recurring scheduling feature offered by AntsRoute, you can easily automate the creation of these jobs.
Steps to Create a Recurring Job
Let’s take the example of adding a recurring job for a customer already in the database. Here are the steps to follow:
- Go to the “Plan” module from the main menu.
- Click on the “Schedule work orders” tab.
- In the search bar, type the first three letters of the customer’s name, then select the desired customer from the dropdown list.
- Enter the duration of the job and fill in the other necessary details.
- In the “Planning dates” section, check the option “Define a recurrence”.
- Then, specify the recurrence details:
- Starts on: the start date of the recurring jobs.
- Ends on / after: the end date or the total number of occurrences.
- Choose the recurrence frequency:
- Daily: enter the number of days between each job (e.g., every 3 days).
- Weekly: specify the number of weeks between each recurrence, then select the relevant days (e.g., Tuesday and Wednesday every 3 weeks).
- Monthly: select the number of months between each recurrence, then choose the day of the month or define a custom pattern (e.g., the first Tuesday of the month).
- If necessary, specify a time slot to be observed.
- Click the “Save” button to confirm the recurring job.
How to View Recurring Jobs
After creation, you can monitor recurring jobs as follows:
- Go to the “Customers” module.
- Search for the relevant customer, then open their profile.
- Click the “Recurring work orders” tab to view the created series.
☝️ Good to know: From a customer’s profile, click on “Forthcoming work orders” to see all the scheduled occurrences. Tip: Add the “Recurrence” column to the table by clicking on “Modify columns” in the header.
