AntsRoute allows you to add a last-minute job to a field agent’s route that is already in progress.
This feature is particularly useful for handling urgent or unexpected requests.
From the AntsRoute interface, you can schedule this job in just a few steps.
Add a job to a route that is already in progress
- Go to the “Monitor” module.
- Click on the “Map” tab.
- Click the “+” button to add a stop.
- Search for and select the customer using the search bar.
- Enter the job duration.
- Complete any additional information if necessary.
- In the field “Plan this delivery on”, select today’s date.
- Optionally add a time slot.
- Click the “Search” button.
- Select the agent’s route to which you want to add the job.
- Click “Confirm”.
The job is then added to the selected route.

➡️ Keep the route order unchanged
If you do not want the existing order of stops to change when adding a job, you can disable automatic re-optimization:
Settings → Settings → Optimization
Then disable the option:
“Automatic re-optimization of the remaining end of the route.”
➡️ Notification for the field agent
When the job is added:
- the field agent receives a notification on the mobile app;
- the route is automatically updated;
- the job appears in the list with a yellow “NEW” tag next to the estimated arrival time.
