You can send a first notification to your customers before the completion of a service or delivery to provide them with the following information: date of visit, time slot, scheduled arrival time, etc. In order to set up these notifications, just complete the steps below:
Set up the notification template
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the tab “Notifications”.
- Click on “Notification templates”.
- Click on the button “Add”.
- Select the media “Text message” or “email”.
- Select the type “Manual notification from AntsRoute”.
- Determine the name for interne use. For example, 'Notification with ETA'.
- Set the toggle on “Enabled”.
- Click on the AntsRoute icon to custom the message content.
- Click on the “Save” button.
Here are the variables available for this manual notification from AntsRoute:
- First name $firstName
- Last name $lastName
- Scheduled date $scheduledDate
- Planned arrival time $arrivalTime
- Time slot $timeSlot
- Address $address

Send notification with ETA to customers
Once you have defined the template for the notification manually triggered from AntsRoute, you can now send notifications to the customers. Just complete the steps below:
☝️ Good to know: Before sending the notification to your customers, you have the possibility to restrict the time slots for each field service operation and communicate to customers a more precise time slot. For example, 10:00 - 11:00 instead of 8:00 - 12:00. To do this, you must put field service operations on hold by going to “Organize” > “Routes” > select the routes > > “Put on hold”.
- Go to the “Organize” module.
- Click on the tab “Map”.
- Select the date on which routes are scheduled.
- Click on the button “Notify customers”.
- Select the template of manual notifications.
- Select the customers to whom you want to send the notification.
- Click on the button “Notify customers”.
💡 To send a notification to your customers, you must have entered the email address and/or phone number in international format in the customer's record. For example, +447600123456.
