When the route starts, you can automate the sending of a notification to the customers to be visited with a link allowing them to track in real time on a map the progress of the driver. In order to set up the notifications allowing customers to track the driver’s progress, just follow the steps below:
Set up the notification template
- Go to the 'Settings' module.
- Click on the 'Notifications' tab.
- Click on 'Notification templates'.
- Click on the button 'Add'.
- Select the media 'Text message' or 'email'.
- Select the type 'Automatic notification when the route starts'.
- Dettermine the name for interne use. For example, 'Notification with tracking link'.
- Set the toggle on 'Enabled'.
- Click on the AntsRoute icon to custom the message content.
- Add the variable 'Field service (or delivery) tracking/review link'.
- Click on the button 'Save'.
Set up the tracking link
- Go to the 'Settings' module.
- Click on the tab 'Notifications'.
- Click on 'Link configuration'.
- Click on 'Track / review link'.
- Determine the 'Link validity (in days)'.
- Add the corporate logo.
- Define the title.
- Define the message to customer indicating that the agent is approaching.
- Click on the button 'Save'.
Note: To send notifications to your customers you must have entered the email address and/or phone number in international format in the customer record. For example, +44 7600 123456.
