Set up the AntsRoute module for Shopify site using Zapiet – Help center

Requirements

Have an AntsRoute account;
Recover an API key on AntsRoute;
Have a Zapiet account;
Delivery date and time picker enabled in Store Pickup + Delivery.

Note: To enable the customer to choose a delivery date, go to 'Store Pickup + Delivery' > 'Settings' > 'Local delivery' > 'Date and time pickers'.

Retrieve the AntsRoute API key

Click on the blue circle at the top right.
Click on the tab 'Integrations'.
Click on 'API keys'.
Click on the button 'Add'.
Select the site for which to generate the API key.
Click on the button 'Create'.
Click on the button 'Copy'.
Click on the button 'Continue'.

Note: The API key which has just been generated should be copied and pasted into a secure document, as you will be asked for it later on in Zapiet. If you lose the AntsRoute API key, you can generate a new one at any time.

Connect AntsRoute to Zapiet (Store Pickup + Delivery)

Go to the tabs 'Apps'.
Click on 'Zapiet Store Pickup + Delivery'.
Click on 'Settings'.
Click on 'Last mile delivery'.
Click on 'Activate AntsRoute'.
Enter the API key retrieved during the previous step.
Click on 'Activate AntsRoute'.

Set up the AntsRoute module on Zapiet

Click on 'Configure settings'.
Determine the 'Duration'.
Determine the support email address.
Choose the store ('Locations') for which orders are sent to AntsRoute to manage deliveries.

Note: The 'Duration' is the default time required to unload the goods from the vehicle and hand them over to the customer. If you let this field blank it will be 10 minutes by default.

Note: The support email address is the address we use to let you know if there are any problems with the sending of deliveries to AntsRoute.

Create the capacities 'Total number' and 'Weight' on AntsRoute

The creation of these capacities enable to manage the quantities that can be carried by each of the vehicles during a route.

First capacity 'Total number'

Go to the 'Settings' module.
Click on the tab 'Capacities'.
Click on the button 'Add'.
Fill in the first capacity:
- Total number (Name) ;
- Items (Unit) ;
- Optional (Validation mode).
Click on the button 'Save'.

Second capacity 'Weight'

Click on the button 'Add'.
Fill in the second capacity:
- Weight (Name) ;
- g (Unit) ;
- Optional (Validation mode).
Click on the button 'Save'.

Determine the capacities of vehicles

Go to the 'Resources' module.
Click on the tab 'Vehicles'.
For the first vehicle, click on '…' and 'Edit'.
Determine the quantity 'Total number' which can be carried by the vehicle.
Determine the quantity 'Weight' which can be carried by the vehicle.
Click on the button 'Save'.
Click on the button 'Confirm'.
Repeat these steps for each vehicle.

Send orders to AntsRoute

Note: To send orders to AntsRoute, the customers must select the 'Local delivery' option during checkout. The customers can choose the delivery date and time slot.

Note: The amount of the order, the method of payment and the notes added by the customer are displayed in the 'Comments' field on AntsRoute.

Note: If you want to see the quantities of each product delivered to AntsRoute, you can create custom fields. For products that have variants (multiple colours, etc.), you can add a dash between the product name and that variant. For example, 'sofa - grey'.
