AntsRoute offers geolocation functions to track your field teams in real time. By activating this option, you can view the location of your drivers in the “Map” tab of the “Monitor” module. In addition, you can view the actual route travelled in the “Route report” tab in the “Analyze” module. To access these functions, just follow these simple steps.
- Step 1 : Activate geolocation from the AntsRoute interface
- Step 2 : Enable geolocation from the mobile app
- Step 3 : Enable geolocation from the phone
Step 1: Activate geolocation from the AntsRoute interface
First, you must enable this option on the AntsRoute interface.
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Settings” tab.
- Click on “Mobile application settings”.
- Enable the option “Field workers real time geolocation”.
- Click on the “Save” button.
Step 2: Enable geolocation from the mobile app
From the mobile application, the field worker can authorise his geolocation. To do this, just complete these steps:
- At the top left, tap Menu .
- Tap “Settings”.
- Set the “Real time geolocation” option to “Enabled”.
💡 The geolocation starts when the field worker clicks on the “Start” or “Continue” button from the mobile application. The geolocation ends when the field worker clicks on the button “End” or quits the app.
Step 3 : Enable geolocation from the phone
iOS
From the iPhone, the field worker must go to the settings to enable the geolocation for the AntsRoute application. To do this, just follow these steps:
- Go to the “Settings”.
- Click on “Privacy”.
- Click on “Location services”.
- Click on “AntsRoute”.
- Choose the option “Always”.
💡 We ask field workers to choose the option “Always” in order to continue tracking his location when the AntsRoute application is running in the background. For example, when using a navigation application or sending a message from their iPhone.
💡 If the agent is using his personal phone to complete the routes, he can disable access to his location when he is off duty and re-enable this option when he is back on duty.
Android
From the Android mobile phone, the field worker must go to the settings to enable the geolocation for the AntsRoute application. To do this, just follow these steps:
- Go to the “Settings”.
- Click on “Location”.
- Enable the option “Location access”.
- Click on “App access to location”.
- Click on “AntsRoute”.
- Choose the option “Allow all the time”.
💡 We ask field workers to choose the option “Always” in order to continue tracking his location when the AntsRoute application is running in the background. For example, when using a navigation application or sending a message from their iPhone.
💡 If the agent is using his personal phone to complete the routes, he can disable access to his location when he is off duty and re-enable this option when he is back on duty.
☝️ Good to know: From the map of the “Monitor” module, you can view the GPS location of your drivers.
