Introduction
Welcome to AntsRoute!
AntsRoute allows you to plan, optimize, monitor, and analyze your routes in just a few clicks.
In this article, we guide you step by step to help you understand the different modules and easily navigate the interface.
Step 1: Resource Management
Before planning jobs, go to the Resources module and set up:
- Your vehicles (types, capacities, costs, skills)
- Your agents (working hours, skills, costs, absences)
- The vehicle assignment schedule
Proper resource configuration improves optimization quality.

Step 2: Customer Management
In the Customers module, you can:
- Add a new customer
- Import a customer database
- Edit existing information
- View a customer’s job history (past and upcoming)
- Delete customers
Note: This step is optional.
You can also add customers directly when planning or importing jobs.

Step 3: Job Planning
This is where everything starts.
From the Plan module, you can:
- Add a job with a fixed date
- Add a job with a due date (job basket)
- Import multiple jobs at once
- Import recurring jobs
- Manage cancelled jobs

Step 4: Route Optimization
Once your jobs are added:
- Go to the Optimization module
- Click on Build routes
AntsRoute automatically calculates the best routes based on:
- Working hours
- Distances
- Skills
- etc.
You can then view:
- Agenda (daily + weekly view)
- Map of routes
- List of routes
- List of jobs over a selected period
- Job details

Step 5: Real-Time Monitoring
The Monitor module allows you to:
- View ongoing, completed, or not-started routes
- Identify delays or early arrivals
- Track agent positions on the map

Step 6: Install and Use the Mobile App
For your agents to follow their routes in the field, they must use the AntsRoute mobile application (available on iOS and Android).
From the app, they can:
- View their daily route
- Access customer information
- Start navigation
- Start and validate job completion
- Upload proof of service (comments, photos, signature, etc., depending on your configuration)
☝️ Make sure to check in the Settings that the mobile app is properly configured before the service day.

Step 7: Statistics and History
In the Analyze module, you will find:
- Statistics
- Route history
- Customer history
- Job history
- Overall performance
This allows you to analyze your activity and improve your processes.

By clicking on the blue circle located in the top-right corner of your screen, you can access your account settings.
From this space, you can customize several elements.

Your account:
- Two-factor authentication to secure your access
- Display preferences
- General company information (address, currency used, distance unit, etc.)
- Terminology used in the interface (deliveries, pickups, jobs, visits…)
- Data retention period
- Users: manage different profiles (administrator, site manager, analyst, basket manager, field worker)
- Create custom user roles based on your needs
- Configure integrations via API or webhooks
