As soon as your pick-up & delivery operations are planned, you can start optimising your routes.
š” To access this function, you need to subscribe to a Pro offer.
Optimise the routes
Let's take the example of optimising routes from the āAgendaā tab. Follow these simple steps:
- Go to the āOrganiseā module.
- Click on the āAgendaā tab.
- Select a date in the calendar.
- Click on the āBuild routesā or āReoptimise routesā button.
š” The tasks shown in purple in the agenda correspond to deliveries or unloadings. The tasks shown in blue correspond to loadings or pickups.
š” If you see the message āWarning! The settings for one or more deliverymen have changed. The optimisation must be restartedā, this means that you have made changes to working hours, departure and arrival locations, vehicle capacity, etc.
View the weekly schedule
From the āAgendaā tab, you can view the weekly schedule for all your drivers.
The colour code is the same as the one used in the daily schedule.
In particular, for each task you can see the time of arrival at the customer's premises, the duration, the planned, confirmed or pending tasks, and the drivers' absences and breaks.
View the details of a route
By clicking on the name of a delivery driver, you can view the details of his route. Thanks to a color code, you can easily distinguish the loading/pickup and unloading/delivery stages:
- Loading and pickup stage numbers are displayed in blue.
- Unloading and delivery stage numbers are displayed in purple.
Other settings
āļø Good to know: If you want to take usual traffic into account when creating your routes, please contact our team by email at contact@antsroute.com. As soon as we receive your request, we will be able to activate the option on your account.
āļø Good to know: The greater the number of pickup and delivery operations scheduled each day, the greater the optimization time in minutes should be. For example, if you plan 500 pickup and delivery operations a day, we advise you to define an optimization time of 15 minutes. To do this, go to āSettingsā > āSettingsā > āOptimization settingsā.
āļø Good to know: You can set a maximum time between loading and delivery (or pickup and unloading) from āSettingsā > āSettingsā > āOptimisation settingsā. In other words, a maximum time that should not be exceeded between loading and delivery (or pickup and unloading) when scheduling operations.
āļø Good to know: By default, from the āList of deliveriesā tab, you can view the deliveries (or pickups) and the associated loading (or unloading) operations. You can deactivate the display of these loadings (or unloadings) from āSettingsā > āSettingsā > āDisplay settingsā. All you have to do now is activate the āDo not display loadings/unloadings in the list of deliveriesā option, then click on the āSaveā button.
