AntsRoute allows you to optimize the planning of your operations by taking into account the specific skills required for certain tasks. With this feature, you can assign skills to each of your vehicles to ensure they are suited to the jobs they are given.
π€ Why use skills for your vehicles?
Some operations require specific equipment. For example, a delivery may require the use of a vehicle equipped with a Mobile Crane. By assigning skills to your vehicles, you ensure that only suitable vehicles are selected for the corresponding tasks.
Step 1: Create skills
Before assigning skills to vehicles, you must first create them in the platform.
How to create a skill:
- Go to the βSettingsβ module.
- Click on the βSkillsβ tab.
- Enter the name of the desired skill.
- Press the βEnterβ key on your keyboard.
π‘ You can:
- Delete a skill by clicking the cross to the right of its name.
- Edit a skill by double-clicking on it.
Step 2: Assign skills to vehicles
Once your skills are created, you can assign them to each of your vehicles to reflect their capabilities.
To assign skills to a vehicle:
- Go to the βResourcesβ module.
- Click on the βVehiclesβ tab.
- In the table, click on ββ¦β then βEditβ next to the relevant vehicle.
- Check the boxes for the skills that apply to the vehicle.
- Click βSaveβ.
βοΈ Tip: You can create a new skill directly from this tab by clicking βAdd a skillβ.
Step 3: Define the skills required to perform a task
You can specify the required skills when planning a work order.
βοΈ Good to know: You can require multiple skills for a single task. The system will then assign a vehicle that possesses all of the selected skills.
Method 1: Add interventions manually
- Go to the βSchedule work ordersβ tab.
- Fill out the form.
- In the βSkillsβ field, check the ones required for this task.
The algorithm will then assign the work order, taking these criteria into account.
Method 2: Import work orders
If you use file import to add work orders, you can specify the required skills by adding specific columns.
How to do it:
- Add a column named Comp_XXX, where XXX is the exact name of a skill youβve created (e.g., Comp_Mobile Crane).
- For each row (work order), enter βYESβ if the skill is required, otherwise enter βNOβ.
π Example:
Address | Comp_Mobile Crane |
The Peninsula, 1 Grosvenor Pl, London SW1X 7HJ, United Kingdom |
YES |
Hyde Park Corner, London SW1X 7TA, United Kingdom |
NO |
