Introduction
Automatic notifications allow you to inform your customers in real time when the status of a job changes.
For example, you can send an automatic message when:
- a job is confirmed
- it is canceled

This helps you avoid sending messages manually and ensures smooth communication with your customers.
Step 1: Access notification settings
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Click on Notification templates.
Step 2: Create an automatic notification
- Click the “+ Add” button.
- Choose the sending channel (SMS or email).
- Select the trigger event:
- on confirmation
- after cancellation
- postponed
- on hold
- Enter a name for your template.
- Enable the notification.
- Write your message content.
Your notification will be sent automatically as soon as the selected event occurs.
If you choose an email notification, you can customize the sender and the subject of the message.

☝️ Note: by default, SMS notifications are sent with the sender name ANTSROUTE. To use a different sender name, contact support via email.
Step 3: Choose the right notification type
Each job status corresponds to a specific need:
-
Confirmation: inform the customer that the appointment is confirmed
(triggered from the web interface) -
On hold: inform the customer that a previously scheduled job is temporarily on hold
(triggered from the web interface) -
Cancellation: inform the customer that their job scheduled for today has been canceled
(triggered from the mobile app) -
Postponed: inform the customer that their job planned for today has been postponed (for example, to the end of the route)
(triggered from the mobile app)
You can enable multiple notifications to cover all scenarios.
Step 4: Customize your messages
To improve clarity for your customers, make sure to:
- include the date and time of the appointment
- add your company name
- use a simple and clear message
These details can be automatically inserted using variables available via the AntsRoute icon in the Message section.
👉 A well-written notification helps reduce misunderstandings and missed appointments.
Step 5: Test your notification
Before using it in real conditions:
- Create a test job
- Change its status
- Check the message received
👉 This allows you to validate both the content and proper functionality.
Conclusion
Automatic notifications help you stay connected with your customers effortlessly throughout the entire lifecycle of a job.
By configuring them properly, you improve the reliability of your operations and reduce manual communication.
