Introduction
Manual notifications allow you to send a message to your customers only when a user triggers the action.
Unlike automatic notifications, they are not sent automatically after a status change or a route step.
You can create two types of manual notifications:
- from the AntsRoute web interface
- from the mobile application
Step 1: Access notification templates
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Click on Notification templates.
Step 2: Configure your manual notification
- Click the “+ Add” button.
- Choose the sending channel:
- SMS
- Select the trigger:
- Manual notification from AntsRoute: to send a notification from the web interface
- Manual notification from the mobile application: to send a notification from the mobile app
- Enter a name for your template.
- Enable the notification.
- Write your message content.
- Save.
If you choose an email notification, you can customize the sender and the subject of the message.
☝️ Note: by default, email notifications are sent from noreply@antsroute.com. You can use a different sender address by contacting support via email.
☝️ Note: by default, SMS notifications are sent with the sender name ANTSROUTE. To use a different sender name, contact support via email.
👉 Once the template is created, the notification can be triggered manually from the corresponding tool.
Step 3: Send the notification
Once your template is configured, you can send a manual notification:

From the AntsRoute web interface:
for example, from Organize > Agenda, click the Notify customers button at the top right. Select the customers, then click on the Notify customers button. Choose the previously created notification template, then click Notify customers again. -
From the mobile application:
open the job details, then click the Notification button.
👉 The message is sent immediately to the customer.
Step 4: Check the notification
After sending, you can view the history:
- Open the job details.
- Click on Activity feed.
👉 You can verify that the message has been sent.

Manual notifications give you great flexibility to communicate with your customers.
They complement automatic notifications and allow you to easily handle specific situations.
