Display rules allow you to automatically assign a color to specific jobs based on criteria you define.
This makes it easy to quickly identify specific jobs in your lists, tables, schedules, and maps. For example, you can use colors to distinguish jobs based on their service type, assigned driver, duration, or any other criteria available in the filters.
Create a display rule
To create a new rule:
- Go to Settings > Global Settings.
- Click Display Rules.
- Click the “+” button to add a new rule.
- Enter the rule name. Choose a name that will make the rule easy to identify.
- Select the color you want to apply to the relevant jobs.
- Click Filter to define the conditions for applying the rule.
- Configure the desired criteria, then save your rule.
Jobs that match the criteria you defined are now identified by the selected color.
☝️ Good to know: If multiple rules apply to the same job, only the active rule positioned highest in the list will be applied. The order of your rules is therefore important.
Where can you see your rule colors?
Once your rules have been configured, the colored dots are visible in several places:
- On the route map: The colored dot appears on the job marker.
- In the schedule: It appears in the top-left corner of the block representing the job.
- In job tables: A Display Rule column shows the colored dot and the name of the associated rule.
- In a route's job list: The colored dot appears next to the scheduled arrival time.
☝️ Note: On the map, custom colors are not displayed when multiple jobs are grouped at the same address.
Use display rules with the job basket
If you use the job basket, display rules also make it easier to identify the jobs you need to schedule.
The colored dot is displayed directly in the Job Basket tab. You can also see it on the markers for jobs in the basket under the Route Map tab.
This allows you to quickly identify jobs that match specific criteria before adding them to your routes.
In summary
Display rules make your jobs easier to identify using a custom color-coding system.
By defining rules that match your organization's needs, you can identify jobs requiring your attention at a glance and make your routes, schedule, and job basket easier to read.
