When you use the work order or delivery basket, you can define a priority criterion.
This allows the optimization algorithm to schedule certain jobs before others.
Two methods are available:
- Due date (default mode)
- Service type
Mode 1: Prioritize by Due Date (Default Mode)
In this mode, jobs with the closest deadline (due date) are scheduled first.
👉 This is the recommended setting if you simply want to meet customer deadlines.
Steps to activate this mode:
- Go to the Settings module.
- From Settings in the side menu, click on Optimization.
- In the field Prioritisation criterion for deliveries, select Due date.
- Click Save.
Mode 2: Prioritize by Service Type
This mode is useful if certain jobs must always be scheduled before others (emergencies, premium contracts, priority after-sales service, etc.).
👉 This method is suitable if you already use service types.
Step 1: Enable prioritization by service type
- Go to Settings.
- From Settings in the side menu, click on Optimization.
- In Prioritisation criterion for deliveries, select Service type.
- Click Save.
Step 2: Create a priority service type
- Go to Settings.
- Click on the Service types tab.
- Click the + button in the top right corner.
- Fill in the required information:
- Name (example: Priority job)
- Location of delivery
- Duration (in minutes)
- Priority: select High
- Complete the other fields if necessary.
- Click Save.
Step 3: Use this service type when adding a job to the basket
When adding a job to the basket:
- Select the priority service type in the corresponding field.
The algorithm will automatically prioritize these jobs during optimization.
☝️ Important :
- If all jobs can be scheduled without constraints, the priority setting will not be applied.
- Prioritization also works when importing jobs.
