To save time when planning your routes, AntsRoute allows you to set default values.
These values are automatically pre-filled when planning deliveries or jobs. Of course, they can be changed at any time if a delivery requires specific settings.
Why use default values?
- Speed up delivery planning
- Standardise the settings applied to your operations
- Reduce repetitive manual data entry
Available default values
➡️ General delivery settings
You can set the following defaults:

Delivery status
Status automatically assigned to a delivery when it is planned. -
Duration
Duration applied to each delivery. -
Skills
Skills automatically selected when adding a delivery. -
Service type
Service type selected by default when adding a delivery. -
Time slots for appointment scheduling
Time slots offered when planning deliveries with appointment booking. -
Time slot (basket, import and recurrence)
Time slot applied when planning deliveries:- from the delivery basket,
- when importing a file,
- when setting up a recurring delivery.
➡️ If the Pickup & Delivery option is enabled
The following settings can also be defined:

Operation type
Operation type selected by default for a pickup & delivery step. -
Loading or unloading location
Location automatically applied to each loading or unloading operation. -
Loading or unloading duration
Duration associated with each operation. -
Loading or unloading time slot
Time slot selected by default for these steps.

Time slot for basket deliveries
Time slot automatically applied when adding a delivery to the basket.
How to access default value settings
- From your AntsRoute account, click Settings
- In the side menu, click Default values
- Fill in or edit the desired fields
- Click Save to apply your changes
