Why set a validity period?
When you add a new job, several available time slots may be suggested.
A timer allows you to define how long these proposals remain valid.
This is particularly useful if several users are scheduling jobs at the same time. The validity period ensures that the displayed time slots take into account actions carried out by other users (adding, modifying or deleting jobs).
In summary:
👉 This duration helps prevent scheduling conflicts.
👉 It ensures that the proposed time slots are always up to date.
How to modify the validity period
To adjust this setting, follow the steps below:
- Go to the Settings module.
- From the Settings tab in the side menu, click on Optimisation.
- Locate the field Validity period of a proposal when adding a delivery and enter the desired duration (in seconds).
- Click Save to record your changes.
Good to know:
- A short duration provides highly responsive proposals but may expire quickly.
- A longer duration gives you more time to confirm a proposal, but it may increase the risk that another user books the slot in the meantime.
We recommend adjusting this duration according to the number of users scheduling jobs simultaneously within your organisation.
