When creating your routes, some jobs may remain unassigned. If you want to reschedule them later, AntsRoute allows you to move them back to the basket so they can be included in a future route optimization.
In this article, you will learn how to move one or several jobs back to the basket, as well as how to define the time slot applied to these jobs.
💡 Good to know: You can move back to the basket only jobs with one of the following statuses: Unassigned, Planned, or Deleted.
Move multiple jobs back to the basket
You can move several jobs back to the basket directly from the jobs list.
Steps to follow
- Go to the Organize module.
- Click on the List of deliveries tab.
- Select the desired period in the calendar.
- Click Filter.
- Choose the State field.
- Select Unassigned.
- Click Apply.
The list now displays only unassigned jobs. - Check the jobs you want to move back to the basket.
- Click Action.
- Select Add to basket.
The selected jobs are then moved to the basket and can be rescheduled during a future route optimization.
💡 Tip: At the bottom of the table, you can change the number of items displayed per page to make it easier to select multiple jobs.
Move a single job back to the basket
You can also move a job back to the basket directly from the agenda.
Steps to follow
- Go to the Organize module.
- Open the Agenda tab.
- Select the desired period in the calendar.
If some jobs are unassigned: - Click View list.
- Locate the job concerned.
- Click … and then Add to basket.
The job is then removed from the schedule and placed back into the basket.
💡 Good to know: You can also move jobs back to the basket from the Monitor module.
Define the time slot for jobs moved back to the basket
When you move a job back to the basket, you can choose how its time slot should be handled.
Three options are available
When a job is moved back to the basket, it can:
- Keep its current time slot
- Adopt a default time slot defined in the site settings
- Have no time slot assigned
☝️ Note:
If you use the pick-up and delivery feature, only the main operation (pickup and delivery) is updated. Secondary operations, such as loading and unloading, keep their existing time slots.
Configure the default time slot
To define the behavior applied to jobs moved back to the basket:
Steps to follow
- Go to the Settings module.
- Click the Settings tab.
- Open the Default values section.
- Select the Time slot for basket deliveries.
- Click Save.
This setting will automatically apply to future jobs moved back to the basket.
