This feature allows you to limit the maximum authorised duration between a loading operation and its associated delivery, or between a pickup and its corresponding unloading. This is particularly useful to ensure compliance with operational, regulatory, or goods-related constraints (perishable goods, contractual deadlines, etc.).
The configuration is completed in two steps: first, enabling the restriction in the settings, and then defining the maximum duration during planning.
1. Enable the restriction in the settings
Before using this feature, you must enable the corresponding option in the optimisation settings.
Steps to follow:
- Open the Settings module from the main menu.
- From Settings in the side menu, click Optimisation.
- Find and enable the option Set a maximum duration between loading and delivery (or pickup and unloading).
- Click the Save button to apply your changes.
Once this option has been enabled, you will be able to define a maximum duration for each transport during planning.
2. Define the maximum transport duration during planning
When creating or editing a transport, you can specify the maximum authorised duration between loading and delivery (or between collection/pickup and unloading).
To do so:
- Open the planning form for the relevant transport.
- Locate the field Maximum transport duration (in minutes).
- Enter the maximum authorised duration (for example: 10 min, 60 min, 120 min, depending on your requirements).
The system will take this constraint into account during route optimisation and planning. If this duration cannot be respected, the transport may be flagged as not plannable or generate a warning (forced operation), depending on the configuration.
3. Define the maximum duration via an Excel file (import)
You can also define this constraint when importing your data via an Excel file.
To do so, add a column to your file with the exact following header:
Maximum transport duration
Then enter the desired duration for each corresponding row.
During import, this value will be automatically taken into account and applied to the relevant transport.
