Introduction
Notifications sent during the route allow you to inform your customers in real time about the progress of their job.
You can:
- notify your customers when the route starts
- inform them when the driver is approaching
👉 These notifications improve transparency and reduce uncertainty about arrival times.

- Click the “+ Add” button.
- Choose the sending channel (SMS or email).
- Select the event route start.
- Enter a name for your template.
- Enable the notification.
- Write your message.
👉 The message will be sent automatically when the route starts.
💡 This notification can include a link that allows the customer to track the driver’s arrival in real time.
To do this, insert the tracking link variable into your message and save.
Then, you can configure the link’s validity period and the information displayed.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.

- Click on Tracking link.
- Set the link validity period.
- Fill in the following fields:

☝️ Note: To configure link appearance (logo, colors, displayed fields, etc.), please refer to the dedicated support article.
💡 The tracking link is available starting from the PRO plan.

👉 The message is sent automatically when the driver validates the previous job in their route, meaning the job scheduled just before the notified customer.
If you choose an email notification, you can customize the sender and the subject of the message.
☝️ Note: by default, email notifications are sent from noreply@antsroute.com. You can use a different sender address by contacting support via email.
☝️ Note: by default, SMS notifications are sent with the sender name ANTSROUTE. To use a different sender name, contact support via email.
Step 4: Customize your messages
To make your notifications more useful:
- include an estimated arrival time
- specify the remaining waiting time before arrival
- add your company name
- use a simple and reassuring message
👉 You can automatically insert this information using variables available via the AntsRoute icon in the Message section.
Step 5: Test your notifications
Before using them:
- Start a test route
- Check that notifications are sent
- Review the message content
👉 This allows you to ensure everything is working correctly.
