If a regular client is unavailable for a certain period (vacation, closure, leave, etc.), you can declare their absence in AntsRoute.
This prevents jobs from being scheduled at that client’s location during the specified period.
In this article, you will learn how to:
- add an absence for a client
- delete an existing absence
💡 Important: If jobs are already scheduled during the absence period, you must unschedule these jobs or re-optimize the routes.
Add an absence
Follow these steps to declare a client’s absence.
- Go to the “Customers” module.
- Search for the client using the search bar.
- Click “…”, then select “Customer sheet”.
- Open the “Absences” tab.
- Click “Add an absence”.
- Fill in the following information:
- Start date of the absence
- End date
- Reason for absence (optional)
- Click “Save” to record the absence.
Once saved, the absence will appear in the client’s list of absences.
Delete an absence
If the absence is no longer needed, you can delete it in just a few clicks.
- Go to the “Customers” module.
- Search for the client using the search bar.
- Click “…”, then select “Customer sheet”.
- Open the “Absences” tab.
- Locate the absence you want to delete.
- Click “…”, then select “Delete”.
- Click “Confirm” to validate the deletion.
Conclusion
Managing client absences helps prevent scheduling jobs when your regular clients are unavailable. Remember to review any jobs that may already be planned so you can unschedule them or re-optimize your routes if necessary.
