AntsRoute offers a function that automatically calculates the price of work orders or deliveries based on a base price and conditions linked to custom fields. Thanks to this function, you can find out the turnover of your routes.
☝️ Good to know: In calculating this price, you can also decide to include the price of items and the price of types of service.
☝️ Good to know: You can choose the currency used to calculate the price of work orders.
Here are the steps to follow to define a method for calculating the price of work orders:
- Activate the function for calculating the price of work orders
- Define a method for calculation de price of work orders
- View the turnover of routes
Activate the function for calculating the price of work orders
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Price of work orders” tab.
- Click on the toggle to “Activate work order price calculation”.
Define a method for calculating the price of work orders
- Decide whether to include the price of items in the calculation.
- Decide whether to include the price of the type of service in the calculation.
- Enter a “Fixed price”.
- Click on the “Add a calculation” button.
- Select a multiplicand custom field (type number) or no field (equal to 1).
- Set a multiplier price.
- Set one or more conditions linked to a custom field or a geographical distance (optional).
- Add other calculations if necessary.
- Click on the “Save” button.
💡 If you do not want to include a fixed price, enter “0” in the relevant field.
💡 The geographical distance corresponds to an interval expressed in kilometres. This distance is calculated in relation to the site address. However, if you use our Pickup & Delivery functions, the geographical distance is calculated in relation to the loading address.
💡 If you add several conditions linked to geographical distance, your intervals must not overlap.
☝️ Good to know: If you plan your work orders manually, you can see in real time how the “Price” field is updated according to the custom fields you enter.
☝️ Good to know: If you use our function to send your customers links for scheduling and/or rescheduling work orders, you can display the updated order price in these links.
Let's take the example of the calculation method below:
The price of a delivery to a customer living on the second floor of a building without a lift would be: 10 + [ 2 x € 10 ] = € 30.
Here's another example:
The price of a delivery to a customer living on the second floor of a building without a lift located 25 km away would be: € 10 + [ 2 x € 10 ] + [ 25 x € 1 ] = € 55.
View the turnover of routes
From the “Organise” module > “Agenda”, you can view a “Turnover” indicator, which corresponds to the sum of the price of planned work orders for all routes on the selected date.
☝️ Good to know: You can also find out the turnover for a particular route by clicking on an agent's name.
☝️ Good to know: If, in addition to the function for calculating the price of work orders, you have activated the function for calculating the cost of routes, the “Turnover” indicator will be replaced by “Margin”.
