Introduction
Custom fields linked to jobs allow you to add information specific to a particular job.
Unlike customer custom fields, this information may vary from one job to another.
They are particularly useful for sharing important information with drivers or for tracking certain data related to a task.

Examples of use
Job custom fields can be used to record:
- an order number
- a case reference
- a service type
- a product to deliver
- specific information related to the mission
This information is visible to planners and can also be viewed by drivers in the mobile application.
Step 1: Create the custom fields
Before you can use custom fields in jobs, you must first create them in the settings.
⚠️ To create a custom field, you must first create a category.
1. Access the Settings
- Log in to your AntsRoute account.
- Open the Settings menu.
- Click on Custom fields.
- Select the Delivery tab.
This tab allows you to create fields that will be used in jobs or deliveries.
2. Create a Category
Categories allow you to organise custom fields.
To create a category:
- Click Create a category.
- Enter the category name.
- Click Save.
Examples of categories:
- Order information
- Delivery information
- Job details

3. Add a Custom Field
Once the category has been created, you can add a custom field.
- Click Create a field.
- Enter the field name.
- Select the category where the field will be displayed.
- Choose the field type.
- Save.
Available Options
When creating a custom field, several options can be enabled:
- Required field: the field must be completed in order to save the job.
- Indexed field: indexed fields can be searched using the global search to make deliveries easier to find.
- Private field: the field will not be visible in the drivers’ mobile application.
Step 2: Organise the display order
You can change the order of the fields to improve the readability of the information.
To do this:
- Go to the list of fields within the category.
- Drag and drop the fields to change their position.
Step 3: Fill in the fields when creating a job
Once the custom fields have been created, you can complete them when creating or editing a job.
- Create a new delivery or open an existing one.
- Go to the Custom fields section.
- Enter the required information.
- Save the delivery.
☝️ Importing jobs
It is also possible to fill in custom fields when importing a job or delivery file.
To do this, simply add a column in your Excel or CSV file with a header that exactly matches the name of the custom field defined during its creation.
Example
If you created a custom field called Order number, you must add a column named Order number and enter the corresponding value for each job.
Where is this information visible?
Information entered in job custom fields is visible:
- in the job details
- in the drivers’ mobile application (unless the field is private)
