Introduction
Custom fields allow you to add additional information in AntsRoute so that the platform can better fit your operational needs.
For example, you can use custom fields to record:
- a building access code
- the presence of an animal
- an equipment number
- information that needs to be filled in by the driver
This information can be displayed in different areas of the platform.
Where can custom fields appear?
In AntsRoute, custom fields can be used at three different levels.
➡️ 1. On the customer profile
Fields are linked to the customer and remain the same for all jobs.
Examples:
- gate or entry code
- floor number
- caretaker’s name
- presence of a dog
➡️ 2. On jobs
Fields are linked to a specific job.
Examples:
- service type
- order number
- case reference
- equipment to bring
➡️ 3. When a driver validates a job
Fields are filled in by the driver directly from the mobile application.
Examples:
- equipment condition
- meter reading
- job comment
- installation confirmation
Available field types
When creating a custom field, you can choose from several formats:
- text field
- dropdown list
- number
- date
- checkbox
- photo
Organising fields
To make information easier to read, custom fields can be grouped into categories.
For example:
- Customer information
- Technical information
