AntsRoute lets you define types of service offered by your company. Creating these types of service simplifies the day-to-day work of the person in charge of planning, as several fields are automatically filled in when a work order is added: duration, skills, time slot, etc.
💡 If necessary, the duration and skills required for a work order for which a service type has been selected can be adjusted during planning.
To add a new type of service, follow these steps:
- Go to the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Types of service” tab.
- Click on the “+” button.
- Enter a “Name”.
- Enter a “Duration” in minutes.
- Select “Skills” (optional).
- Define the “Time slots for scheduling appointments” that will be displayed when planning work orders manually (optional).
- Define a “Default time slot” to be used when planning orders from the basket, by importing a file or when planning a recurrence (optional).
- Enter a “Description” (optional).
- Enter a “Price” (optional).
- Click on the “Save” button.
💡 The “Description” is particularly useful for those who use our booking site. It allows you to add additional information that is visible to your customers when they select a type of service.
💡 The “Price” may be included in the calculation of the price of work orders.
☝️ Good to know: Once you have created your types of service, you can select them when you add a work order. You can also add a “Type of service” column to your Excel import file. For each work order you add, you need to enter the name of the type of service in the cell in the file.
☝️ Good to know: By using service types, you can prioritise the planning of work orders, i.e. ensure that our algorithm prioritises the planning of certain orders over others.
