Introduction
Interactive notifications allow your customers to take action directly from the message they receive.
Thanks to an embedded link, they can:
- confirm an appointment
- reschedule it
- or book a new one
👉 This simplifies communication and reduces calls and emails.
💡 The different links (scheduling, confirmation, rescheduling, tracking, and feedback) are available starting from the PRO plan.
Step 1: Access notification settings
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Click on Notification templates.
Step 2: Create an interactive notification
- Click the “+ Add” button.
- Choose the sending channel (SMS or email).
- Select the notification type manual notification from AntsRoute.
- Enter a name for your template.
- Enable the notification.
- Write your message.
⚠️ The link allowing the customer to perform an action must be inserted into the message. See the next step for more details.
If you choose an email notification, you can customize the sender and the subject of the message.
☝️ Note: by default, email notifications are sent from noreply@antsroute.com. You can use a different sender address by contacting support via email.
☝️ Note: by default, SMS notifications are sent with the sender name ANTSROUTE. To use a different sender name, contact support via email.
Step 3: Choose the action offered to the customer
Depending on your needs, you can offer several actions:
➡️ Confirm or reschedule an appointment:
Ideal for:
- reducing no-shows
- getting quick confirmation
The customer can:
- confirm the proposed time slot
- or choose another available time
👉 Insert the confirmation/reschedule link variable into your message and save.
Then, you can configure the link’s validity period, the information displayed, and the constraints related to rescheduling.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Click on Confirmation / Rescheduling link.
- Set the link validity period.
- Customize the displayed information:
- Page title
- Description
- Message after successful confirmation
- Error message
- Enable or disable the option: “Enable the customer to reschedule their job.”
- If rescheduling is enabled, define the following constraints:
- Maximum detour to insert a first job into a route
- Maximum allowed detour
- Allowed time slots for rescheduling
- Enter the message displayed after a successful rescheduling.
➡️ Book an appointment:
Ideal for:
- letting customers choose their own time slot
- simplifying appointment booking
The customer is directed to an interface where they can select a date and time.
👉 Insert the schedule link variable into your message and save.
Then, you can configure the link’s validity period, the information displayed, and the constraints related to scheduling.
To do so, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Notifications tab.
- Click on Planning link.
- Set the link validity period.
- Fill in the following fields:
- Page title
- Description
- Error message
- Set the following constraints:
- Maximum detour to insert a first job into a route
- Maximum allowed detour
- Allowed time slots for scheduling
- Enter the message displayed after a successful planning.

Step 4: Customize your message
To maximize link usage:
- clearly explain the expected action
- specify a response deadline if needed
- use a simple and direct message
👉 You can automatically add information (date, customer, etc.) using variables available via the AntsRoute icon in the Message section.
Step 5: Test your notification
Before deploying it:
- Send a test notification
- Click the received link
- Check the customer journey
👉 This ensures everything is working correctly.
