One of your agents is on leave, on sick leave, or unavailable for a meeting? AntsRoute allows you to easily declare an absence to prevent any task assignment during that period.
💡 Important: If tasks are already assigned to the agent marked as absent, you’ll need to unschedule the route or reoptimize the affected routes.
Report an absence from the “Resources” module
- Go to the “Resources” module.
- Click on the “Agents” tab.
- Find the relevant agent and click on “…” > Edit.
- Click on the “Absences” tab.
- Click the “Add absence” button.
- Enter the start date of the absence.
- Enter the end date of the absence.
- (Optional) Select an absence type.
- (Optional) Add comments if necessary.
- Click “Save”.
☝️ Good to know: If the absence does not last the entire day, uncheck the “All day” box, then specify a start time and/or end time.

Report an absence from the “Planning” tab
- Go to the “Organize” module.
- Click on the “Planning” tab.
- Select the desired date using the calendar.
- Find the relevant agent and click on “…” > Add an absence.
- Enter the start date of the absence.
- Enter the end date of the absence.
- (Optional) Select an absence type.
- (Optional) Add comments.
- Click “Save”.
Delete an absence
- Go to “Resources” > “Agents”.
- Click on “…” > Edit next to the relevant agent.
- Go to the “Absences” tab.
- Click on “…” > Delete next to the absence you want to remove.
- Click “Confirm” to validate.
☝️ Good to know: You can also delete an absence directly from the “Planning” tab by right-clicking on the absence and selecting “Delete absence”.
