From AntsRoute, you can configure your drivers’ daily breaks: lunch breaks, free time, breaks during the day, etc.
These breaks are automatically taken into account when routes are planned.
Where can breaks be viewed?
Breaks can be viewed in several places:
- In routes that have not yet started;
- In ongoing routes, from the Monitor module;
- In the mobile application used by drivers.
From the mobile application, drivers can view:
- The break duration;
- The planned start time;
- The planned end time.
☝️ Good to know: If the option allowing drivers to validate their arrival and departure is enabled, they can also perform these actions for breaks. This makes it possible to calculate the actual break duration.
Add a daily break
To add a break to a driver’s schedule, follow these steps:
- Go to the Resources module.
- Click on the Drivers tab.

- Click on one of the following buttons:
- Save: the break is applied only to the selected week.
-

Repeat these steps for each working day where a break needs to be added.
☝️ Delete a break:
To delete a break, simply click on the cross located to the right of the break start time field.
Conclusion
Daily breaks help create more realistic routes that are better suited to your drivers’ working schedules. Once configured, they are automatically taken into account during route planning.
