You can update the start locations of multiple routes by using the end locations of routes completed on a reference date.
This feature is useful when your drivers finish their day at a location other than their usual start location and need to begin a future route from that same location.
Note: If a driver had no route scheduled on the selected reference date, their start location will not be updated.
Update route start locations
To update the start locations:
- Go to the Organize module.
- Open the Agenda tab.
- Select the date of the routes whose start locations you want to update.
- Select the relevant routes.
- Click Actions > Edit starting location.
- Select the reference date.
- Click Save.
The start location of each selected route will then be set to the end location of the route completed on the corresponding reference date.
☝️ Important: If routes have already been planned for the selected date, you must run the optimization again so that this new setting is taken into account when calculating the routes.
Identify a specific start location in a customer record
When a route's start location has been determined from the end location of a previous route, this information is displayed in the customer record.
To view it:
- Open the relevant customer record.
- Go to the Working hours, locations and skills tab.
- Find the applicable day(s).
A Specific start location indicator is displayed, along with a message identifying the reference route, for example:
Custom departure
End location of the route on 07/07/2026
This indicator makes it easy to identify the days when the start location differs from the usual one and to see which previous route it was based on.
