The duration defined for each of the work orders at the time of planning does not always reflect the reality in the field. To better determine the duration of your orders and to better respect the arrival times communicated to customers, AntsRoute offers a function that allows you to calculate the real duration of work orders on site.
To do this, you can activate a double validation on the mobile application, i.e. a function that allows your driver to validate his arrival at the address of a work order, before validating the completion of the task.
Step 1: Enable the option in the settings of the interface
To access this feature from the mobile application, you must first enable the option from the settings in the AntsRoute interface.
- Click on the “Settings” module.
- Click on the “Settings” tab.
- Click on “Mobile Application Settings”.
- Enable the option “Let your driver validate his/her arrival at the delivery address”.
- Click on the “Save” button.
Step 2: Validate the start of a work order from the mobile application
Once you have enabled the function in your account, your drivers can access it from the mobile application.
To do this, as soon as your driver arrives at the work address, he must simply display the details of this step from the list of work orders and click on the “Start” button.
The started task is visible with a blue background and in first position in the list. There is also an “Ongoing” badge.
Step 3: View actual work order times from the interface
Once a work order is validated by your driver, you can visualize the actual duration of the task from the web interface. To do this, you need to follow these few steps.
- Go to the “Monitor” module.
- Click on the “List of work orders” tab.
- In the “Duration” column, you can see the planned and actual duration.
