Automate the creation of customers in AntsRoute from Google Sheets using Zapier

With Zapier, you can automate the creation of new customers in AntsRoute when adding new rows in a Google Sheets file. Just follow the steps below:

Step 1: Set up the Trigger

  1. Log into your Zapier account and click on the button 'Make a Zap'.

  2. Search Google Sheets using the search bar.
  3. Select Google Sheets.

  4. Click on 'Choose an event'.
  5. In the drop-down list, select 'New spreadsheet Row'.

  6. Click on the button 'Continue'.
  7. Click on the button 'Sign in to Google Sheets' to connect your Google Sheets account to Zapier.

  8. Select the Google Sheets account connected.
  9. Click on the button 'Continue'.

  10. In the 'Spreadsheet' drop-down list, select the Google Sheets file needed.
  11. In the 'Worksheet' drop-down list, select the worksheet needed.
  12. Click on the button 'Continue'.

  13. Click on the button 'Test trigger'.
  14. Click on the button 'Continue'.

💡 The Google Sheets file should at least contain the 'Name' and 'Address' columns.

 

Here is an example of a Google Sheets file with the required columns:

Step 2: Set up the Action

  1. Search AntsRoute using the search bar.
  2. Select AntsRoute.

  3. Click on 'Choose an event'.
  4. Select 'Create a New Customer'.

  5. Click on the button 'Continue'.

  6. In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select 'AntsRoute'.
  7. Click on the button 'Continue'.

  8. For 'Last name' select the column 'Name'.
  9. For 'Address', select the column 'Address'.
  10. Fill in the other fields if necessary (external ID, phone number, mobile phone number, email, comments).

  11. Click on the button 'Continue'.

  12. Click on the button 'Test & Continue'.

  13. Click on the button 'Turn on Zap'.

💡 If you have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier, we invite you to log into your AntsRoute account to get the API key that will be requested on Zapier. To do this, just go to AntsRoute > click on the blue circle at the top right > Integrations > API Key > Add > Select the site > Click on Create > Click on Copy > Click on Continue. You can now go back to Zapier and click on 'Sign in to AntsRoute' and enter the API key you just retrieved and click on 'Yes, Continue'

 

The creation of the Zap is now completed. Now, when you add a new row in your Google Sheets file, the customer is also added in AntsRoute. You can quickly find customers in AntsRoute using the search bar available in the 'Customers' tab.
