With Zapier, you can automate the updating of customers in AntsRoute when changes are made from Quickbooks. Just follow the steps below:

Step 1 : Automate the creation of a customer in AntsRoute when creating a new customer in Quickbooks
Set up the Trigger
💡 New on Quickbooks ? To try out the trigger, you must have added at least one first client in Quickbooks.
- Log into your Zapier account and click on the button 'Make a Zap'.
- Search Quickbooks Online using the search bar.
- Select Quickbooks Online.
- In the 'Trigger Event' drop-down list, select 'New Customer'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select the Quickbooks account connected (If you have not connected your account, click on 'Sign in to Quickbooks Online').
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Test trigger'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
Set up the Action
- Search AntsRoute using the search bar.
- Select AntsRoute.
- In the 'Action Event' drop-down list, select 'Create a New Customer'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select 'AntsRoute' (If you have not connected your AntsRoute account to Zapier, we invite you to log into your AntsRoute account to get the API key that will be requested on Zapier. To do this, just go to AntsRoute > click on the blue circle at the top right > Integrations > API Key > Add > Select the site > Click on Create > Click on Copy > Click on Continue. You can now go back to Zapier and click on 'Sign in to AntsRoute' and enter the API key you just retrieved and click on 'Yes, Continue').
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- For 'Customer External ID', select 'ID'.
- For 'Last name', select 'Family name'.
- For 'Address', select 'Ship Addr Line1'.
- Fill in the other fields if necessary (phone number, mobile phone number, email, comments).
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Test & Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Turn on Zap'.
Step 2: Automate the update of a customer in AntsRoute when this client is modified in Quickbooks
Set up the trigger
- Click on the button 'Make a zap'.
- Search Quickbooks Online using the search bar.
- Select Quickbooks Online.
- In the 'Trigger Event' drop-down list, select 'Updated Customer'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select your Quickbooks Account.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Test trigger'.
- Edit at least one information in the Quickbooks client record that you selected in the previous step.
- In the 'Updated Customer' drop-down list of your Zap, click on the button 'Load more'.
- Select the row 'Updated Customer B'.
- Check that the change made from Quickbooks is displayed in the client information list in Zapier.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
Set up the action – Find a customer by external ID
- Search AntsRoute using the search bar.
- Select AntsRoute.
- In the 'Action Event' drop-down list, select 'Find a Customer by External ID'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select 'AntsRoute'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- For 'Customer External ID', select 'Customer ID'.
- Keep the value of 'Should This Step Be Considered A 'success' When Nothing Is Found?' as 'No'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Test & Continue'.
Set up the action – Update customer
- Click on '+' to add a second action to your Zap.
- Search AntsRoute using the search bar.
- Select AntsRoute.
- In the 'Action Event' drop-down list, select 'Update Customer'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- In the 'Choose an account' drop-down list, select 'AntsRoute'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- For 'AntsRoute ID Of The Customer', display the options of the list 'Find a customer by external ID in AntsRoute' and select 'ID'.
- For 'Customer external ID', display the options of the list 'Find a customer by external ID in AntsRoute' and select 'External ID'.
- For 'Last name', display the options of the list 'Updated Customer in QuickBooks Online' and select 'Family name'.
- For 'Address', display the options of the list 'Updated Customer in QuickBooks Online' and select 'Ship Addr Line1'.
- Click on the button 'Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Test & Continue'.
- Click on the button 'Turn on Zap'.
💡 In addition to the fields 'Family name' and 'Ship Addr Line1', you must fill in all the fields that were filled in during the first step so that the data can be updated in AntsRoute. For example, if you filled in the mobile phone number field in the first step, you must fill it in this second step.
