AntsRoute offers a complete feature for managing packages to be delivered — from adding parcels to a delivery, to validating them by scanning barcodes, and accessing the history of delivered packages.

In the field, it can happen that some packages are not registered in the system at the time of the route: last-minute additions, oversights, or preparation errors. To avoid blocking your deliveries, the mobile app allows you to easily add an unrecognized package directly during the scan.
Enable the feature
Before using this option on mobile, you need to activate it from your web interface:
- Go to Settings
- Click on Settings and open the Mobile application section
- Go to Field tracking and proof of visit, then enable the option Allow package addition by drivers
- Click on the Save button
Once activated, the feature will be available for users in the field.
Add a package from the mobile app
When you are on your route, while validating package deliveries:
- Scan the package barcode as usual
- If the package is not recognized, a message appears
- The app suggests adding it to the ongoing delivery
- Confirm the addition to include the package in your route
This process is quick and allows you to continue your delivery without interruption.
☝️ Notes:
- Package dimensions cannot be entered using this feature.
- Packages can only be added at the time of delivery validation on the mobile app.
Specific case: pickup & delivery mode
As a reminder, if you are using the pickup & delivery mode, loading and unloading operations are grouped into a single step. Therefore, when an unknown parcel is scanned, you can select the associated customer.
