If you notice that a customer address is incorrect or that its location on the map is not accurate, you can update it directly from the mobile app.
To do so:
- Open the details of the relevant job.
- Go to the Customer file tab.
- Click Edit next to the address.
A map will then display the customer's current location.
You have three options:
Option 1: Search for a new address
If the saved address is incorrect, you can replace it with a new one.
- Enter the new address in the search field.
- Select the desired address from the suggested results.
The map automatically centers on the new location and the marker is repositioned.
Option 2: Adjust the location on the map
If the address is correct but its GPS location needs to be adjusted:
- Click the repositioning floating button located on the right side of the map.
- The marker turns orange to indicate that repositioning mode is enabled.
- Move the map to place the marker at the customer's exact location.
- Click the repositioning button again to confirm the adjustment.
The marker turns blue again, and the new position will be saved when you save your changes.
Option 3: Use your current location
If you are currently at the customer's location, you can use your GPS position to update the customer's location.
- Click the using my location floating button on the right side of the map.
- The customer's location is automatically updated with your current position.
Save your changes
Once you have finished making your changes:
- Verify the location displayed on the map.
- Click Save.
💡 Good to Know
When you update a customer's location from the mobile app, only the GPS coordinates associated with the address are updated.
The address displayed in the customer record on the web interface is not modified. However, the map marker is repositioned using the newly saved GPS coordinates.
When navigation is launched, the driver or field technician will be guided to this updated location.
